Easton Arrow Spine Selection Guide
Use Easton's Hunting Arrow Size Selection chart to compare recommended shaft spine ranges for your bow setup. The complete manufacturer sheet and original PDF are hosted here by James River Archery.
Start with your actual setup
Have your measured bow weight, arrow cut length, bow type, speed rating, release type, point weight and insert/outsert weight ready. Follow the manufacturer's setup adjustments before reading across to the arrow-length column.
Measure arrow length correctly
For this chart, measure from the throat of the nock to the end of the shaft, excluding the point and insert. Follow the rounding note printed below the chart when your length falls between columns.
Use the correct bow column
The compound-bow baseline is a 301-340 FPS ATA rating, a mechanical release and a 100-grain screw-in point. Separate recurve and longbow poundage columns appear on the right. Use the matching column and the full instructions for your setup.

Check fit before choosing a shaft
This sheet is a hunting-arrow spine reference, not a component-fit chart or crossbow-bolt guide. A recommended spine range does not establish which inserts, outserts or nocks fit a particular shaft. Confirm the available spine and compatible components for your exact arrow model.
The original insert/outsert adjustment wording can be unclear for heavier components. Ask James River Archery to confirm your setup before selecting a shaft if that wording affects your choice, your setup falls outside the chart, or you need help reading it.
